Alecko Eskandarian is comeback player of the year. He makes a world of
difference for DC. So do Landon Donovan and Chris Albright have a new
coach when they return from the World Cup?

Sure does. One of his best qualities for me is that he's very good
from at scoring from non-obvious chances. (He also makes the easy ones
too.)

Watching him hit rockets toward goal all night last night made me wonder
if we didn't miss an opportunity for a good striker for the US. He was
dangerous from everywhere. Granted the Crew backline isn't Italy, but the
kid's got some skill.

LA go scoreless in the month of May and are 70 minutes from setting the
single-season MLS scoreless record.

According to this site, the record is 637 minutes, implying that LA
isn't that close to the record ...

BTW, Terry Cooke got his league-leading sixth assist against the Galaxy
... MLS could use more good crossers like him.

Best. Turnaround. Ever. Or is it just the truth about how much weaker the
