Beckham is off to Arsenal in January bar a truly exceptional off from MLS
i.e. a team willing to rename itself to Brooklyn Romeos or the entire crowd
willing to buying Posh Spice cds etc. It's the only possible way he will
ever play for England again.

Why would Arsenal want him ? I honestly think Hleb and others play his
position better than he now does.

1) Presence - The lack of this in midfield has cost Arsenal the chance of
finishing within 10 points of ManU and Chelsea. No one wets their pants
when facing Alexander Hleb in the Premiership. He can also do interviews,
keeping every single iota of pressure off 17-year-old wonderkids.
2) Englishness - This will help the club stay connected to the fans.
3) Shirt sales - At least £30million in Beckham sales (shirts, mugs,
underwear etc), especially once he's back in the England team.
4) Extra cover at right-back and central midfield - an expensive Ray Parlour
if you wish.
5) Done deal. Which it nearly is, barring an exceptional MLS offer. Wenger
will not buy anyone in January since he can get David Beckham on a free,
releasing Real from paying his wages.
